Youth Mental Health First Aid

* This is a two-day class. Participants should plan on attending both days.
Youth Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based program that teaches individuals how to help adolescents who are experiencing a mental health or substance abuse issue, or in crisis. Youth Mental Health First Aid participants will gain knowledge of common mental health challenges for youth and learn strategies to help youth in both crisis and non-crisis situations. “I am excited to offer this training to the community,” states Christine Peterson, Tomahawk School Psychologist.
The training is free and open to individuals that live or work in Lincoln County. Space is limited to 30 participants. Must be 18 years old to participate. Dinner will be provided.
