Invitation to Participate in Healthy People Lincoln County’s Community Forum

Healthy People Lincoln County is inviting organizations and community members to participate in a Community Forum on August 16th from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm at the Lincoln County Service Center. Participants will learn about the health issues affecting Lincoln County residents and share strengths and opportunities that make for a healthy community. At this event, Healthy People Lincoln County’s recent health opinion survey results will be presented, along with other data pertaining to the health of Lincoln County. This information will be used to identify the county’s top health priorities for the next 5 years.

This event will be open to the community. Please strongly consider attending if you are affiliated with any of the following:

  • Hospitals and Clinics
  • Schools
  • UW-Extension
  • Public Health
  • Law Enforcement
  • United Way
  • Elected Officials
  • Mental Health Agencies
  • Faith-Based Groups
  • Aging Organizations
  • Social Services
  • Family Support Organizations
  • Businesses
  • Community Members

“Having broad participation from the community is very important to this process,” says Shelley Hersil, Health Director for the Lincoln County Health Department. “Having organizations and community members with different backgrounds and experiences give us a better picture of the health issues affecting our county and what can be done to address them.”
