Lincoln County was among 19 programs that received 100% achievement awards at this year’s Wisconsin Seal-A-Smile (SAS) annual meeting in May. In order to receive this award, programs must provide, meet or exceed the goal they set for the number of children they will place sealants on during the previous school year. Since the program’s inception four years ago, the number of programs receiving the award has risen annually. Lincoln County has received this award twice in the last four years. Over 200 children received dental sealants this last year. Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services’ Oral Health Program applaud the hard work of these programs for setting realistic goals and working hard to achieve them.
